Susie & Vikki's Christmas Club

Me again :-)

I made this card as a guest designer for Susie & Vikki's Christmas Club. The Challenge is to include holly, which I think I covered, he he. Pop over and have a go, the challenge doesn't end till Saturday 20th and it helps get you started on those million Christmas cards that we all find ourselves doing the week before Christmas,  lol.

Mothers Day Card

Hiya :-)

Hope youa re all well and having a lovely weekend. My weekend has been great. For the first time in a few months, we have disposable cash, yeah :-) So of course, I had to go shopping. Lots of clothes and craft shops later, I am a content bunny, lol.

Having a nice quiet day today making cards and just being a vegetable, lazing round on the sofa, etc.

This card is for my mother in law for Mothers Day

Condolence Card For A Friend

Hi again

Another psot today :-) My friend asked me to do a condolence card for a friend of hers. I really struggled with what to put on it without making it look frumpy. But if you look at things that aren't frumpy, they seem too cutesie for a sympathy card. So I settled on the flower and added a butterfly to try and make it look different. Not sure whether it worked, but hey ho, my friend is happy with it and thats all that matters :-)

Ingredients - Flower image from the internet, sentiment printed in Powerpoint, Spellbinders butterfly die, Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Off to have some chips now :-)

Sophisti-cats Stitch Challenge

Evening :-)

I made this card for the Sophisti-cats challenge, but being in the Design Team, you cant upload it until the theme has been announced. Which is fine but then I forgot all about it, he he. Does anyone know where I can buy some more brain cells, lol

The challenge is to show some stiching on your card. I tried to sew but gave up after about 10 goes and thought I would just use some paper from my stash that has stitching on it, lol.

Ingredients - Greeting Farm digi stamp coloured with ProMarkers, Nellie oval die cut, flowers and papers from stash

I'm not going to enter this into any challenges as I just haven't had time to look at any, work just keeps getting in the way!

Pink Gem Design Challenge Card

Evening All :-)

Well, what a pooh game of rugby that was...Think England thought they were playing football or something !!!!! Oh well, at least they won and I got to stare at Johnny, lol.

Although I ahve made this card for the Pink Gem Designs Challenge, I think it will be a nice card for my mum. I cant decide whether I should give it as her birthday card or her Mothers Day card (the two dates are a week apart).

Happy Valentines Day to you all, hope you are all being totally spoilt. As me and hubby are a bit skint at the moment, we didn't get each other presents, but he made me a lovely card, he even corouled the flowers in, bless :-)

Another Mo Mannin Card

Mo Manning Fairy Card

Hello everyone :-)

Today started off as a really pooh day....2 hours on the M25 to get to work, followed by a 6 hour long meeting all through lunch :-( But then, after the 2 hour journey home ( at least I was looking at the M25 from the other side), I found out that I had been chosen to become a DT member for Sophisticats...Yeeeaaahhhh. Its the first time I have ever been chosen (the first one I ever entered actually), so I am mega chuffed :-)

Anyway, back to tonights card that I made as I can't go out due to hubby being so ill with swine flu. Someone has to mop his brow every now and then, lol.

Sophisticats DT Call - Magnolia Poinsetta Card

Greetings :-)

I ahve made this card to enter into a few challenges and to be hoenst, it took me forever. You know when you just keep playing with it and you can't make up your mind whether it works or not ? I'm still not sure whether it works, think I may have overdone the poinsettas, lol.

At least it's Wednesday today which means that it's nearly Friday, thank Crunchie for that :-) I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend, me and the mother in law watching Disney films together. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make a card or two as well.

I just wanted to share something with you all that could save you some money :-) I can see now that you are all interested, he he.
Over at 'Oh My Crafts' they have tons of Cricut Cartridges and Spellbinders stuff priced very cheaply. The shop is in America so postage can be quite high, but I have solved that problem for you. If you go onto the following link http://www.retailmenot.com/view/ohmycrafts.com there are coupons that you can use at the shop and these will cover most of or all of your postage.
I ordered 2 Cricut Cartridges (£29.99) over here, a Spellbinders pendant and a Cricut embossing folder. The whole lot, including postage and after using a 20% discount voucher, came to £44. Whereas if I had ordered it here, it would have come to at least £80. Oh happy days :-)
I received the stuff yesterday, a little over a week after ordering it, so the wait wasn't too long either.
