Scrapbook stamp society "once upon a time" challenge

Evening all

Two posts in one day, how good am I? lol. I have made this card for the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge which is "Once upon a time". It's a link party challenge where people vote for their favourite card, so feel free to pop over and vote for your favourite :-)

My card has been made using Bo Bunny papers from the Gabrielle collection, the digi, Love Birds, is by Heather Valentin and has been coloured using ProMarkers.The balloon has been cut using the Whimsy hot air balloon die, the heart chain has been cut using a Memory box die and the doily has been cut using a Tim Holtz on the edge die. The cloud has been hand cut and the sentiment is from Cosmo Cricut tiny text stickers.

Zora the dancing gypsy

Morning

I am up nice and early today and I have already cleaned the bathrooms, changed the beds,had a general tidy up, showered and got dressed and it's only 8:30 on a Sunday morning!

This card has been made using yet another Krista Smith image, Zora the dancing gyspy which has been coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are all Magnolia,the corner die is from Memory Box, the fence is Magnolia Doo Hickey and the heart and circle are Spellbinders.

Hubby's anniversary card

I made this card for my husband as it was our 3rd wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago. The girl doesn't quite have enough hair to be me, but the thought was there, lol.
The image and the sentiment are from LOTV and I have used ProMarkers for colouring. The hearts and corner have been cut using Marianne creatables dies and the heart border has been cut using the Magnolia Doo Hickey heart border die. The papers are from Echo Parks Yours Truly pad and the ticket is from Tim Holtz.

Tim Holtz card

Evening all

I was supposed to be going down to mum and dads this weekend in Ramsgate, but the weather poo pood that, so instead I stayed home and made cards :-)
This one turned out to be a total Tim Holtz card, although that wasnt the intention when I started, lol.
The papers are from the Tim Holtz Idealogy paper pad, the die cut is the Tim Holtz man with umbrella, the film strip and tag have been cut with Tim Holtz dies, the film strip ribbon is by Tim Holtz, the postcard stamp is by Whimsy stamps and the little clocks are from my stash.

Card for my Mum

Today I thought I would share this card that I made for my Mum. I'm not sure whether to give it to her as a birthday card or a Mother's Day card yet as her birthday is very near to Mother's Day. We shall see ;-)
The card has been made using a Mo Manning image that has been coloured with Pro Markers. The paper is Magnolia (shock horror, I have actually used some) and the sentiment is computer generated.The corner pice and the butterfly have been cut using Memory Box dies.
Hopefully the card will remind my mum what a sweet child I was, lol.

Bring Joy Angel

First of all I have to mention that I have been asked to joing the Scrapbook Stamp Society design team which I am really chuffed about. Its a newsite where you can buy digi's from various artists, set up an account and create you rown gallery of cards,see other peoples galleries and loads of other fun stuff, all for free. There is also a challenge blog with great prizes and a Facebook page `Addicted to Stamps` where creations can also be shared. Phew, think thats everything, lol.

Elisabeth Bell Butterflies

This card is made using an old stamp that hasn't seen the light of day for a while, so I thought I would give it an airing, lol.
The stamp is an Elisabeth Bell image, Pen Letter and has been coloured using ProMarkers. The paper is from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle paper pad and I have cut the butterflies out from a second sheet and stuck them over the original butterflies. The hearts have been cut using a Marianne creatables die, the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and has been cut using their small spostage stamp die. All other bits and bobs are from my stash.

Sewing card

Hope everyone had a nice weekend :-)
This card is for my niece who is 21 at the end of the month. She is studying costume design at Hull unversity, so I wanted to make a card with a sewing theme. Hopefully she will like it.
The stamp is from B line stamps and has been coloured using ProMarkers and stamped with a Personal Impressions flourishes and swirls stamp. The sewing dummy is cut using a Tim Holtz die, the paper is from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress pad and the buttons have been cut using a Joy Craft die. The sentiment is computer generated and the other bits and bobs are from my stash.

Hope you have all had a nice Friday. Me and hubby went Xmas shopping today on our last day off work and picked up loads of bargains, so I am really chuffed with myself, lol.

Pink christmas and a windy birthday

Hope everyone is well. I'm super happy.......Not only is it my big birthday but I fly off to Canada on Monday, woohoo :-)
The first card is made using a LOTV stamp coloured with ProMarkers, some free magazine papers, Spellbinders poinsettia die and oval die, bells are from Wild Orchid crafts and the lace is from the market.
The second card is made using a Krista Smith image (I am so in love with her stiff at the mo!) and First Edition papers. The flowers are cut using a die, the leaf is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die and I made the kite myself.

Again I have been busy chomping away at the card making stuff and made a few cards, so I thought I would post them all at once again :-)

This one is using a Mo Manning image that I got last year, some Magnolia papers and Marianne Design dies for the trees and stars.

Hope everyone is well and I must appologise for not visiting peoples blogs and for posting, but sometimes there are not enough hours in the day :-)
I have been making a few cards here and there so I thoguht I would do a bulk post, lol.
I can't remember where all of the bits and bobs are from, although I can remember where the images are from. (I wish I possessed more than one brain cell!)

I had a fun day yesterday crafting with my friend. She had just come back from America so had lots of crafting goodies (lucky thing). THese two cards are both made with LOTV images, coloured with ProMarkers.The top one is made with Bo Bunny blast off papers, the starts are cut using Nestabilities and embossed.
The christmas card is made with Dove Crafts Christmas Fancy papers.

Morning all

I made this card this morning whilst watching the Scotland v Argentina rugby match. I love it when the rugby world cup is on although I wish it didn't start at some ridiculous hour of the morning. Roll on four years time when the world cup comes to England :-)
Yes, this is another Krista Smith image (Mmmm, I'm not addicted at all am I?!?!?!). She has been coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from Magnolia. The swirl and the fence are Magnolia Doo Hickey dies and the ticket is made using the stamp and die from Whimsy stamps.

This card is an invite I made yesterday for my grandaughters 1st birthday which is in November. Now I only have 12 more to make, lol. I have used a Tilda image, coloured with ProMarkers, papers from stash, the flowers are cut using a Crealies die, the heart swirl is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die and the doily border and butterflies are cut using Martha Stewart punches. Yippee................ It's Friday. I dont know about everyone else, but this week has been really long and I am well and truly pooped. No rest this weekend though. Step daughter is up tonight with my grandaughter and theya re staying until tomorrow night. Hope all is well in bloggerland ;-) No, the artistic godess in not moi (wish it was!), lol, it's the name of the stamp from Sugar Nellie. I was lucky enough to get this stamp at Stamperama in August and it was only £2.75....Bargain!
Anyhooow...... This card is made using papers from the First Edition Sweet Owl paper pad, all distressed (think I am going a bit overboard on the distressed look and it's turning into the dirty look, he he) with Tim Holtz old paper distress ink. Think I need to make a 'clean card' next, lol.

The rabbit is from Mo Manning and the watch is free clipart from the web. The papers are from Magnolia and the circle has been cut using a Nestie. The swirl is a Marianne creatables one and the sentiment was printed on my PC.
I also thought I would show you two of the pictures from the scarecrow festival that I went to at the weekend just so you could get an idea of what I was waffling on about.

Kenny K happy anniversary

How long did it take me to get home tonight??????? 2 and a half hours! The M25 was just horrendous. Why is it that just because it is the Friday before a bank holiday, everyone has to drive like nutters and crash?
This card I made for my mum and dad's 41st wedding anniversary. I thought that the picture may remind them of when they were young and were hanging out in the coffee bars in the 1960's, lol.
The images is from Kenny K and coloured with ProMarkers. The backing paper is just strips of black and white card, stuck together and I used a border punch for the scalloped edge.

What a wet and miserable day?!?!?!?!? What happened to summer? I made this card for someone that was leaving work. The papers were from my stash and I used a Tilda stamp and a Tilda path stamp that have been coloured with Promarkers. The flowers and the boder were cut using Tim Holtz dies. The butterfly was cut using a punch. Sorry I am not very good with the finer details.
I must just appologise for not commenting on peoples blogs, but I tried to do it and it was telling me that my account doesnt exit. Not quite sure how it cant exist if I am logging in to my blog, but then again I dont understand these things, lol. Once hubby sorts it out, I'll get round to commenting.

A card at last

Hi all

At last, I am back :-) Sorry for the absence but life just got in the way. I won't bore you with the details, we will just pretend that I never went away, lol. Hope you are all well in blogland and I intend to get catching up on all of those lovely blogs out there.
I am trying to be organised and get my Christmas cards started. This one is made using a Magnolia stamp and Magolia papers. The large snowflake was cut out using a Sizzix die and then covered in glitter (which I got all over me and the dog, lol). The smaller snowflake is cut out using a punch and has also been "glittered" and in the middle is a brad that I got from Hobbyhouse crafts.
Although I have been away from blogland, I have still been making cards, so I'll have to put them on my blog as and when. Mmmm, I shouldnt have said that and then I could have pretended that I was a mean keen card making machine that just churns out cards one after the other, he he.

An anything card

Hi all

Hope you all had a wonderful Xmas :-) Mine was totally manic with my mother in law, two step children, on eof their boyfirends and baby Millie all staying from Christmas Eve until Tuesday. I was totally worn out and may as well have been tied to the cooker, lol. My family couldnt make it as Christmas, so they are descending this weekend. So I will have mum, dad, nan, the dog, brother and several nephews and nieces. More cooking :-)
Anyway, back to the card. I am not sure where the image is from, it was sent by a friend. The paper I got in Dunelm in the sale, its from an Ella Blue pad. The sentiment is from LOTV and was a wonderful Xmas pressie. The flower is cut using a Marianne creatable die and the image is cut using a Go Kreate die.

Niece's birthday cards

I am having a wonderful week off work and I had a wonderful birthday on Monday when I got totally spoilt whilst away in York. Off to see my mum and dad tonight and then we are all going into Canterbury tomorrow so that should be nice. I made these cards for my mum and my nan to give my niece for her birthday. She is in love with the Tatty Bears, hence why these are both similar. I got the images from the internet, used Nesties, Martha Stewart lace border punch, Papermania wedding paper and some paper that I got in America from Walmart, lol.

Grandaughters card

Hope you are all ok. It's the weekend, woo hoo :-)
I made this card for the arrival of my grandaughter, Millie Mai which happened late last night. Unfortunately mother and baby are still in hospital as the Millie was only 5lb 4oz. But apart from being small, mother and baby are well :-)
Nothing but good news. I have next week off work as its my birthday, so we are going to Yorkshire for a couple of days, down to Cantebury for a couple of days and also spending some time with friends, so should be fun :-)
Enough waffling......I cut the heart shape for the card on my Cricut, the papers are DCWV Nursery papers, the tag and baby are from Magnolia. Unfortunately the picture is not that great, but hey ho.

Nappy cake

Stepdaughter's Birthday Card

Hope you are all ok. I am sat here feeling sorry for myself :-( Not only am I trying to figure out what to do with my life as my job is being made redundant, but I now have the dreaded cold, cough and sore throat. Oh well, the only way is up :-)

Tomorrow is my step daughters birthday and she likes fairys, princesses and pink, even though she will be 25 tomorrow, lol.

I made her this card using a Tilda stamp, some paper from my stash, MS lattice punch and bits and bobs from my stash.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend :-) I am totally pooped. I went to a party Friday night and last night and I am totally disfunctional today. Woohoo, my first side stepper :-) I made this for my MIL as its her birthday in a couple of weeks and she loves Art Deco. Hope you are all ok. I have been making this card for a week, lol. I have been spending ten minutes here and there when I get a mo and I have finally finished now that hubby has taken the kids out shopping for an hour. Just enough time for me to finish this card, load it up and then go and make dinner so that they dont think I have been doing nothing whilst they have been out, he he.

This card was cut out using the Cricut, the ovals are Nestabilities, the swirl is Tim Holtz, the paper is from Craftwork Cards and the rest of the bits are from my stash. Another Box

Sorry for the absence but I have been working every day and every evening, so as you can imagine, I am pooped. But I am not working late tonight, I got home at a reasonable time of 7, so that makes a change.

I made this box for my friend who had a baby boy last Sunday.

I made the baby booties out of paper, the first time I have done this and was fairly happy with how they turned out. You can find the template here. Apparantly the girls shoes are easier than the boys.

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I had a fantastic weekend. My blogging friend Judi and her hubby came to stay for the weekend and we went to Stamperama today.I didnt buy too much but enough :-) What a perfect weekend :-)

Back to the cards..... This one is made using a LOTV image and DCWV Baby Boy Papers. I made it for my nan who goes into hospital for a new knee tomorrow. But when I finished it, I wasnt too keen on it so I made this one instead

I liked the fact that the mouses leg was bandaged up, so thought this one would be more approproate. The image is from WOJ and the papers I printed off from my digi stash.

This card I made to enter into the Totally Tilda Challenge which is to make a shaped card. I actually won a place in the top 3 on their first challenge which was wonderful, but i cant get the blinkie to flash like it does on their challenge. Hope you are all well and not as hectic as I am at the mo. I was in Harrogate for work for three days this week, came home and the next day went to Telford and on Friday I was in North Wales. Back to Telford on Saturday and back in Stevenage today. Off to Harrogate again tomorrow. My poor little card is going to flake out I am sure, lol.

Chinese / Japanese Card & an Award

Hi all

Well, what a busy weekend it has been. I have had my parents, my nan and the dog for the weekend. Its my dads birthday on Wednesday so they came up for his birthday meal :-) Our family has a tradition that you get to pick your birthday dinner and you get really spoilt. Dad picked toad in the hole and a lemon cheesecake. Everything turned out really nice and we are all now 10 stone heavier, he he.

I fancied making a card with The Greeting Farm Chibi Japanese image that I have, but being the doo lalley person that I am, I forgot she was Japanese and printed Happy Birthday off in Chinese, lol. She can be a bi lingual Japanese lady, he he. The papers are from the Prima Peaches pad.

I also got a lovely award from my twin Mandy Moo. She is having a bit of a poohy time at the mo, so go an d pay her a visit and give her lots of hugs and kisses because she is a really lovely person and her cards aren't too bad either, lol.
